Vicarious Surgical announces Memorandum of Understanding with Pittsburgh CREATES to develop system design

The key partnership provides further support towards transitional termination, organizational delivery, and marketing objectives

Waltham, Mass – (work wire) –Vicarious Surgical Inc. (“Vicarious Surgical” or “Company”), a next-generation robotics company striving to improve the cost, efficiency, and outcomes of surgical procedures, today that it has signed a MoU in healthcare, with academic and clinical resources of parent institutions, the University of Pittsburgh and UPMC (University of Pittsburgh Medical Center). Through this collaboration, Vicarious Surgical will increase its development efforts with a world-renowned university. Expanding beyond previously announced Center of Excellence partnerships provides an additional and diverse offering of Vicarious Surgical to clinical and operational robotics experts, as well as access to the Advanced Center for Preclinical Studies within the University of Pittsburgh. Additional expertise in surgeon testing, training, and organizational trials will help provide deeper academic and clinical insight and support as the company continues to advance through development efforts and finalization of its Vicarious Surgical robotic solution with an emphasis on helping meet the needs of key US hospital systems holistically.
