Tomahawk robots Kinesis’ AI-powered shared control system provides many advantages of Teal’s 4-Ship platform, including handing control over to other users without disrupting operations.
Compatible with Android Tactical Assault Kit (ATAK) for improved condition awareness
SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico, October 26, 2022 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) – tel dronessubsidiary company focusing on defense and security Red Cat Holdings, Inc. (NASDAQ: RCAT), today it has significantly enhanced the capabilities of its 4-vehicle multi-vehicle system through a partnership with Tomahawk robotsthe leading innovator of shared control solutions.
Teal is one of the few”Blue List for Drones“UAV manufacturers authorized to provide equipment to the U.S. military, and one of only two invited to participate in US Army Short Range Reconnaissance Slide 2 (SRR T2). The ultimate goal of the SRR T2 program is to provide a small backpack-portable Unmanned Aircraft System (sUAS) that gives fighters situational awareness beyond the terrain following feature.
announce In May, Teal’s 4-Ship platform was a multi-vehicle system for the defense, government and public safety markets that allows a single operator to control up to four Teal simultaneously. The golden eagle The first mass of UAVs produced entirely in the United States under strict guidelines from the U.S. Department of Defense.
“Our partnership with Tomahawk Robotics takes Teal’s 4-Ship to a whole new level — allowing the combatant in the field to simultaneously control the Golden Eagle and other unmanned vehicles, such as roving vehicles and ground-based robots, as well as other drones — said Jeff Thompson, CEO of Red Cat Holdings, “All in one application on one pane of glass.” “Allowing combatants to coordinate an arsenal of unmanned systems in the air and on the ground gives them a significant advantage in finding and subduing the enemy. This is a game changer.”
In addition, the Tomahawk Robotics partnership allows an operator to hand over control of one or more drones, roving vehicles or robots to another operator without stopping the operation. For example, an operator might keep his group of drones focused on observing an enemy position while handing control of a drone/robot/roving vehicle in the group to pursue an enemy leaving the position.
The agreement will adopt Tomahawk Robotics’ Kinesis ecosystem as a control solution for both the Teal Air Control (TAC) controller and any subsequent Tomahawk Robotics grip and/or controls used by Teal.
Tomahawk Robotics’ Golden Eagle Kinesis provides the Teal’s with the following capabilities:
- Multi-vehicle Command and Control (Multiple Golden Eagles) and Multi-domain Command and Control (Teal Golden Eagle combined with unmanned ground vehicles).
- Simultaneous command and control of different unmanned systems.
- Share ATAK information to increase battlefield visualization.
- Handing over control to a secondary trigger (many-to-many control).
- Provide coordinates of the center of the field of view for assisted target recognition.
- The task planner’s level of quasi-autonomy with human decision making in the loop.
- The MOSA framework provides AI-powered capabilities such as Farsight 3D Mapping technology revealedAthena AI object detection classifiers, and other advanced third-party features.
“Red Cat and Teal have proven themselves as vital partners to the United States Defense Forces in creating small drones that give combatants in the field advanced situational awareness that can mean the difference between success and failure,” said Brad Troisdale, CEO of Tomahawk Robotics. “Integrating our Kinesis AI control software into the 4-Ship platform holds the potential to create an exceptional multi-vehicle system that can play a large-scale role on the battlefield. We are honored to partner with Red Cat and Teal to make this improved product available.”
