Mujin launches QuickBot, a plug-and-play automated state processor to simplify warehouse automation | Business

Atlanta – (BUSINESS WIRE) – October 28, 2022 –

Intelligent Robotics Provider Mujin debuted their latest products, quick potA comprehensive, fast-deploying robotic cell for case handling. The launch of this warehouse solution prepares to make robotic automation in North American logistics a no-brainer. The first app that became available was an offload solution to automate one of the most challenging tasks in the warehouse receiving process, QuickBot was built with everything needed to solve the app.

QuickBot Mujin’s plug-and-play decompression tool demonstrates rapid deployment, quick setup, and quick picking of mixed SKUs at AMR and Logistics Week 2022 in Boston.

Mujin is proud of their QuickBot or QB as I nicknamed It is currently the simplest way to automate warehouse receipts with bots. QuickBot is easy to install, requires no tools, and cases can be selected within a few hours.

QuickBot was first introduced in Boston, at the 2022 AMR & Logistics Show, co-located with The Vision Show. After lifting QuickBot into place in their display booth, Mujin claims that it took less than three hours for the unit to clear the platforms.

Like all of Mujin’s automation solutions, QuickBot is powered by an intelligent robotic controller, the MujinController. Using MujinController’s advanced awareness and real-time motion planning, Mujin’s plate disposal solutions are able to recognize status on the fly. This feature allows QuickBot to manage real-world scenarios for both single pallet and mixed SKU loads without prior “education” or information from external systems.

In addition, Mujin has equipped the QuickBot arm with a universal heavy-duty grip to meet the physical requirements of general warehouse tasks.

Mujin CEO and co-founder Ross Diankoff says:

“In our day and age, a lot of robotics automation systems are needed. They have to be highly reliable, have high productivity and most of all they need to deploy quickly, so that businesses can enjoy ROI from day one.”

“With the arrival of QuickBot, you will see the beginning of a new revolution in the next several years. You will see a lot of these systems in warehouses, running better, faster and improving working conditions.”

To demonstrate how easy it can be to integrate QuickBot into various material processing systems, at their AMR & Logistics Show, Mujin, along with integration partner robuxthey paired their QB warehouse with MiR AMR, which manages pallet handling for a pallet removal workstation.

Also at the conference, Mujin’s Director of Sales, Josh Cloer, joined a featured panel with Robex’s Mobile Robotics Vice President, Matt Charles, and formic Vice President of Sales, Jack Kaomo, Mujin and Formic announced a partnership that will make QuickBot available through a Robots as a Service (RaaS) model. This means the company can go beyond typical capital outlays and have QuickBot in its warehouse, offload pallets for about $20 an hour, and only pay while it’s up and running.

What makes QuickBot a quick deployment solution?

  • It lifts easily and can be moved by forklift to the installation site
  • Everything is pre-installed on a large metal base plate, so no drilling required
  • The security system is pre-installed and ready to operate upon arrival
  • The pneumatically operated telescopic sight mount makes it easy to raise the sighting system to the appropriate height
  • Conveyor is on rail, height adjustable, and pulls out to connect to existing conveyor
  • No system-wide integration is needed to work

About Mujin

Mujin develops and sells “intelligent robotics controllers”, designed as a common platform for industrial robots. Conventional robots, although suitable for automating repetitive work, have been difficult to install in environments where the products being handled and their surroundings are subject to change, due to robotic processes that vary by manufacturer and complex settings. Mujin has solved this problem using a technology called motion planning and offers robotics solutions that automate heavy/simple work that had to be done manually on logistics/manufacturing sites.
