Dubai Future Labs showcases new logistics robots at IROS 2022 in Japan

Dubai: Dubai Future Labs, the Dubai Future Foundation’s applied research and development laboratory specializing in robotics and artificial intelligence, showcased its latest innovations to the global research and robotics community at the International Conference on Robotics and Intelligent Systems (IROS) 2022 in Kyoto, Japan from October 23 to 27.

Connecting with academics, universities, students, international institutions, researchers and experts in the field of robotics and autonomous systems on the global stage, Dubai Future Labs presented two Unmanned Ground Vehicles (UGVs) developed by in-house talents for the logistics sector. This included a last-mile delivery robot and an in-logistics vehicle.

During the international conference, Dubai Future Labs emphasized Dubai’s position as a global hub for innovation and a destination for talent to collaborate on applied research projects. It also invited investors to explore business opportunities in Dubai’s burgeoning innovation environment.

Dubai Future Labs’ participation in IROS invites the robotics and research community to explore the partnership and investment opportunities offered by Dubai’s unique innovation system. It also highlights Dubai’s role in testing and developing technological applications, designing the best future and empowering talent.

The summit commented, “Dubai is keen on shaping a future powered by artificial intelligence, autonomous technologies, and IROS 2022 was an opportunity for us to explore opportunities with the global robotics community and prominent technology personalities while showcasing the vital work of Dubai Laboratories of the future.”

IROS It is one of the largest and most influential robotics research conferences worldwide. Founded in 1988 and held annually, IROS provides a global platform for the international robotics research community to explore the frontiers of science and technology in intelligent robotics and intelligent machines. This year’s event welcomed more than 4,000 global experts, academics, researchers and industry professionals in the field of robotics and automation. The next edition of this global conference will be held in Abu Dhabi in 2024.
